Welcome to Hotel Alex in Venice! First of all, may I introduce you to our property and our family. My name is Mario Fiorentini. My mother, Velia Marazzi, and myself are the managers of Hotel Alex. My mother started running Hotel Alex in 1977 but the property is a hotel since 1959... Since 1997, we both work together with great enthusiasm and attachment to the hotel, trying to answer to all our guests’ needs and requests. The small street facing the hotel is a typical Venetian “rio” (which means “river” in old Venetian dialect), with delicious boutiques selling handmade Venetian chef-d’oeuvres: costumes and masks -covering 7 centuries from the 13th to the 19th - and Murano glass articles. The hotel offers 11 double, triple and quadruple rooms with telephone, some with private bathroom and the others with communal bathroom. Every room has at least a bidet, a washbasin and is provided with towels. The rooms were renovated in January 2002. They are now tastefully decorated in a typical Venetian style, with flowered wooden furniture, lacquered in light colors from pale blue to yellow or green, or classic walnut wooden furniture. Most of the rooms are very large and bright. On request, it is possible to have a room with a private balcony, overlooking the characteristic street, with boutiques and the two canals in both directions.

To the map! By car: From the highway; follow the indications to the centro and then to Piazzale Roma, where parking facilities are available. From Piazzale Roma take vaporetto number 1 or 82 to stop number 10 (San Tomà). It is also possible to arrive in a 10 minute walk, going straight towards Chiesa dei Frari. By train: The Santa Lucia railway station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. It is also possible to take a vaporetto. In both cases, follow the indications above. By airplane: From the Marco Polo airport, take bus number 5, leaving every half-an-hour, taking about 30 minutes, to Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma, follow the indications above.
